Testimonials
The hero’s, what can I say. I started as a active maintenance admin, then out of no where I was struck down with stage three cancer the hero’s jumped into action to get me moved to a family members house, made sure I had meal and protein drinks. All through my treatment there was several hero’s that reached out always asking what I need I’ve tried to stay active we’re I can even if just thru a phone call. My heart and all my appreciation I can give to the hero’s. By the way one cancer treatment left and the hero’s helped me move back home. What a true blessing this group represents. Proud member and recipient. Thank you for all you do Be Blessed By Blessings Others!!!

About August of 2018 we became houseless together. We came downtown around hope faith. And some friends we knew to be safe. Both of us never stayed outside. We slept on the ground until we met free hot soup who helped us with our first tent. Then we started coming downtown to find out that the same group fed people in need at a park. We found out that another group The Kansas City Heroes served a friendly picnic on Tuesday's. It wouldn't have been possible to make it thru the eight months being houseless. They all made sure we stayed warm and showed us all the time they cared. We have become a part of a big family that I didn't know existed. If it's not for these groups and others. Houseless people will be lost in the system and forgotten. They prayed with us each time we made a step forward and a step back to find a place. They gave us hope when we didn't have any. May 30 we were fortunate to finally get our place. If it wasn't for the Kansas City Heroes helping us move in. And bring us things we need to be comfortable. I don't know what we would have done.
